Q#1) Are you a movie director? How long have you been making movies?
I have been writing movies for over 10 years. But actually filming for the last 4 years working on my first project called Tangled And Twisted “The Series”
Q#2) What prompted you to start writing movies?
To tell you the truth I always had a vivid imagination as a kid, so when I would look at TV I was amazed at the shows I grew up on. I also loved going to the movies enjoying the whole experience of being in the theater. Since then technology has advanced, so it’s much different now with so many options for people to watch movies, from cable to the internet, but I still love going to the movies to watch it on the big screen.. I remember as a kid once I saw “Do The Right Thing” on the big screen I knew this was my calling. It just took time for me to stop procrastinating and do it, so it’s never too late to live your dream.
Q#3) Tell us more about — Tangled And Twisted — “The Series”
Tangled And Twisted is my vision of this unremorseful world that was giving to the have not’s. It’s several stories wrapped in one just like in real life. It starts off showing a young boy named Allen aka Swoop. He was born innocent but lives guilty as charged. He was left in a hellhole so he adapted to his environment becoming a cynical, ruthless hustler. He loses his family at an early age so his father figures were the bullies, thugs and drug dealers. He starts off with a good heart but the harsh events that occurred during his childhood made him into a traumatized psychotic.
Q#4) What are your future plans for your career?
Right now I’m just starting but I plan on taking my company So World Wide Entertainment to great heights, producing movies, music, and even producing clothing lines so the sky’s the limit. I also have some reality show ideas that will shock the world, so stay tuned I’m working.
Q#5) Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and I moved to Decatur when I was 15 years old. As a child we moved from Thomasville, to Peoples Town to Summer Hill to Candler Rd. So I’m pretty much westside/eastside therefore So World Wide.
Q#6) What inspires you?
It’s more than one thing. First and foremost I’m inspired by God and the lessons I’ve learned through all the trials and tribulations. Also my mother inspires me, she has been my number one supporter in getting me started so I could never forget that without her I wouldn’t be making movies. So much Love to moms. And lastly the pioneers who come before me like Spike Lee, Alfred Hitchcock, Melvin Van Peeples, John Singleton, Ice Cube, Quentin Tarantino and The Hughes Brothers inspire me. These guys opened the doors with some of the greatest films I have ever seen.
Q#7) Do you have any hurdles with making movies? How are you overcoming those limitations?
Well I would say finance is my limitation because with money you can make your projects bigger with promotion and you can pay the cast and crew… Since we released the 1st episode of Tangled And Twisted a lot of doors are opening so now we have to show these big companies and private investors what else we have in store.. I love the responses we have been receiving so soon the right deal will be in place to financially fund all upcoming projects.
Q#8) Are you involved with your community? If so, how?
I am part of the ATL Juneteenth Festival movement led by one of my mentors Bob Johnson.. It’s a official holiday celebrating all the accomplishments and how far black people have come since slavery. I also have big plans to help those future entrepreneurs that are struggling to make their dreams come alive.
Q#9) What are your biggest accomplishments, so far?
I was blessed to get with the right people to film Tangled And Twisted “The Series” A big shout out Cecil Brown the Co Producer and editor because without this brother it would have never happened so we are in this 50/50. A big shout out to all the actors and crew members. For the last 3 years we have been working hard to film 16 episodes that will have everybody’s minds blown just like the 1st episode it gets deeper. We also had a movie premier Oct 24, 2015 and over 300 people showed up. We received a great response from the audience.
Q#10) If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would that be?
Africa, so I can see it for myself and learn about the culture and history. Everybody who has visited has had nothing but great things to say from people I have met personally to all the celebrities on the African Channel…So I would say, Africa.
Q#11) If you could have coffee with one celebrity who would that be? And why?
I don’t drink coffee anymore but I would love to meet Ice Cube. Well, I have to say I grew up as one of the biggest Ice Cube supporters ever. I bought all the albums and any album he was featured on. I bought all his movies too so that would be my pick.
Q#12) What trend would you like to set?
I want to set the trend for filming to tell a good story but leave some food for thought that might change the world. So I do have some positive films on the way. Please don’t think all my material will be gangsta movies it’s just that story had to be told and please don’t forget Tangled And Twisted has an ulterior positive message behind the madness.
Q#13) Who are your role models?
The Great Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. This man saved my life but that’s a whole different story. If it wasn’t for him I’d be dead or locked up in prison so I must salute big bro #Mosque15
Q#14) What do you do to stay fit and healthy?
Well for the last 3 years I have been vegan and I feel great. I’m also into meditating, yoga and exercising.
Q#15) How long have you been making music?
This question tells my age but I’m ok with it LOL. Well, when it comes to music I have been rapping since 1991. Having so much love for hip hop I just recently started making beats in 2005. Since I’m old school/new school I decided to focus on ghostwriting songs and making beats for up and coming artist. Even though I debate back and forth with myself on rapping so you may hear some music from me just for the love of hip-hop.
Q#16) And last but not least how can people around the world contact you for business?
